Differential Right-Angle Connector Allows High-Speed Perpendicular and Coplanar PCB Connections

FCN-260 Right Angle Stacking Connector_small.jpg (11k) With the growing popularity of its high-speed MicroGiGaCN connector line, Fujitsu has expanded it with an SMT right-angle plug. Mateable with the line’s straight and right-angle sockets, high-speed perpendicular or coplanar board-to-board connections are now possible. Tested from 622MB up to 10GB per channel over standard FR-4 material, the RoHS-compliant device meets the current and future signal speed requirements of InfiniBand®, 10G Ethernet, Serial Attached SCSI™, PCI Express, and SATA2.

New Connector Simplifies High-Speed Differential Data Transfer

Right_Angle_cn_pr_photo_small.jpg (17k) Designers of high-speed data-link/LVDS applications just got another boost from Fujitsu’s matched impedance microGiGaCNTM connector family. The addition of a mezzanine, right-angle socket that’s intermateable with the series’ stacking plug enables the use of standard FR-4 material to transfer differential signals of 3.125Gbps and above with no more than 4% crosstalk at 50ps rise time.

The Micro Giga Connector Meets High-Speed Requirements
