FCN-290H Connector Cuts Cross Talk
If you're concerned about line noise and crosstalk in your compact,
high-speed devices, then our matched-impedance FCN-290H series may provide the solution you need.
Designed for CPU, memory, multi-chip and other high-performance modules, this stacking connector features a
series of wide ground blades that shield the signal terminals from adjacent lines. The results are 50 ohms
matched impedance in systems operating at up to 600 MHz, and crosstalk of 1.47% near end and 1.37% far
end at 300MHz.

Besides offering impedance matching, this high density, two-piece connector also mates PC boards in parallel
with a 5.5mm board-to-board stacking height. And bellows contacts ensure that the PC boards stay securely
connected.
The FCN-290H series is currently available in a 100-position, plug and socket with 0.50mm-pitch SMT terminals.
Measuring just over one and one-half inches long, its small size is ideal for use in portable equipment such
as notebook PCs, PDAs and cell phones.
The series has a 0.2ADC rating at 24VAC and has a 80 mohm contact resistance. The dielectric withstand voltage is
150VAC and insulation resistance is 500VDC. The connectors come packaged on either plastic carrier trays or
tape and reel.
Don't compromise signal integrity in your high-speed system designs: use the FCN-290H for the performance
your project requires.
