Cardbus Connector Offers Design Flexibility for High Band-Width Applications
Bring high-bandwidth PC Card applications to your small form-factor computing
designs with Fujitsu Takamisawa's new CardBus connector. The 68-position
FCN-560H CardBus connector supports 32-bit, 33 Mhz operation in a variety of
devices such as notebook PCs, digital cameras, portable medical and test
equipment, and handheld devices. With the addition of the CardBus header,
Fujitsu's PC Card connector line is one of the broadest available.

Keyed for 3.3V Type I and II PC Cards, the SMT header is available in a right-
angle configuration. A lightweight card ejection mechanism is also available,
with a card-lock feature that keeps the PC Card securely inserted.
For design flexibility, both the header and ejector can be mounted on either
the top or bottom of the printed circuit board. There's even a 2mm-raised
version so additional components can be mounted underneath the connector. Two
fault-ground contact clips ground the connector.
The connector has a current rating of 0.5 ADC, a voltage rating of 250 VAC,
and dielectric withstand voltage of 500 VAC (1min.). The insertion/withdrawal
life is 5,000 cycles in an industrial environment and 10,000 cycles in an
office environment.
