Fujitsu Releases Matched-Impedance Loop Back Module for High-Speed Systems
Sunnyvale, Calif. - July 29, 2003 - - Fujitsu Components America, Inc. today released a matched-impedance loop-back module for testing systems operating at 500Mbps to 3.2Gbps per channel. The new module is an expansion of Fujitsu’s high-speed, microGiGaCNTM

Fujitsu’s FCN-261Z00x loop-back module uses an internal matched-impedance printed circuit board to perform signal testing. This design offers crosstalk of <4% and in pair skew of <5ps to effectively maintain the integrity of the
signal being tested.
The FCN-261Z00x loop-back module fits the current form factor of the InfiniBand/IEEE 802.3ak CX4 4x and 12x backshells. It features a die-cast metal housing and a latching mechanism. The 12x device measures 48.9 mm (W) x 71.9mm (L),
including the latching mechanism.
Thumbscrew versions of the module will be available later in Q3 2003 to support Serial Attached SCSI and Serial ATA-2
configurations.
Other devices in the microGiGaCN series include a cable-mount I/O plug, and surface-mount-I/O and board-to-board sockets available
in 8- and 24-pairs.
Available immediately from stock, a 12x loop-back module is $38.75 and a 4x module is $31.26 in quantities of
50 to 100 pieces.
