FUJITSU OFFERS COPPER CABLE ASSEMBLIES FOR HIGH-SPEED APPLICATIONS
Sunnyvale, Calif. - May 28, 2003 -- Fujitsu Components America, Inc., the developer of the high-speed MicroGiGaCNTM interconnect series, today announced availability of high-bandwidth copper cable assemblies
that meet the InfiniBandTM electrical and mechanical specifications.
Get Datasheet
The differential cables are a low-cost alternative to fiber optic cables for high-performance data transfer applications. They are designed for high-bandwidth environments, such as InfiniBand, 10G Fiber Channel, 10G Ethernet (CX4), and other applications that
require speeds of 500Mbps up to 3.187Gbps.
The new cable assemblies are available in 4 and 12 channel (bi-directional) versions utilizing 24AWG or 26AWG cable. They enhance signal quality by minimizing skew, crosstalk and EMI, resulting in near end crosstalk
of less than 4 percent at 3.187Gbps.
Fujitsu is offering the cable assemblies in standard lengths of 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, and 5 meters.
They meet UL, and CSA FT4 standards.
The cable assemblies (Part # FCD-ZZ000xx) can be obtained through Fujitsu’s franchise distributors. Pricing
is $118.50 for a 4x 5 meter cable in 100-piece quantities.
